When was your first show on Tay FM?
It was the day of Live and Loud in 2005 - June 30th. The first tune I played?! "First Of The Gang To Die" by Morrissey

What is the best gig you have ever been to?
This is going to make me sound like an old fart, but the Rolling Stones at the SECC in 2004 was a class gig - proper showmen - Mick Jagger is nearly drawing his pension for gawd's sake! T In The Park had Moby there in around 2000 and that was great too, especially when I fell over him by mistake in the VIP tent. Kasabian are also a stunning live act, as are Hot Chip (the surprise stars of T2008 for me!) and Pendulum. Without a doubt my favourite TITP though has been 2009.

Who’s the most famous person you have met?
The one I enjoyed meeting most was Natalie Imbruglia at a media dinner in Glasgow... she is ten times more beautiful in person than when you see her on the telly! I guess the most well known person (although I don't know if you'd call him a celebrity!) would be Gordon Brown - he was my local MP when I was a boy living in Kirkcaldy.

What is the strangest thing that has happened on your show?
Ahem. Do you really want me to answer that?!! ;-)

If you could have one superpower what would it be?
I'd have to be able to fly... I'm constantly late for stuff so it would help get where I'm going more quickly.

What was your most favourite childhood sweet?
Far too many to mention them all, but who can beat the good old penny chew?

What would listeners be surprised to learn about you/Do you have a secret talent?
I've got an interest in psychology and want to learn more about it... also I can wiggle my ears and flare my nostrils at will.

What was your most embarrassing moment?
I think waking up in a flower bed with no recollection of how I got there and a crowd of drunks laughing and throwing things at me has to be pretty high up there...!! Also standing next to Stuart Webster singing Christmas Carols on stage at Perth Xmas Lights in 2009 in front of 15,000 people was a pretty red faced moment...

What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
It's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission (The late Kenny Page)

Who is your most embarrassing celebrity crush that you‘ve ever had?
I always thought Sarah Greene was a bit of a hotty in her time... remember her from Going Live?!!

What has been your most favourite moment at Tay FM so far?
When we sent the Hoff CD to the moon - incredible to think an idea could grow from saying on the radio that a song is crap, to getting an actual astronaut to turn our copy of it into space junk!

What has been the best blag of your career so far?
It's a close call... I got a free car for a year from Barnetts in Dundee a year or so ago. The other one is laser eye surgery which I got from Optical Express. It sounds cheesy to say it, but it really has changed my life! Go to www.opticalexpress.co.uk to find out more. You'll find me under 'Celebrity Patients'... hilarious!!
