Q. Five things we don’t know about you:
A. I have a degree from the Scottish Agricultural College – I wanted to be a park ranger.
I volunteered on Hospital Radio from the age of 14.
First record I bought was Band Aid’s Do They Know Its Christmas.
I am the most travelled member of the Tay FM on air team.
My brother was born in New Zealand we emigrated for a couple of years when I was 2, he now lives in Melbourne.
Q. Career History:
A. I have been at Tay FM since 2003, hosting Breakfast initially, Night Time, and covering every show on the station, at the moment you can find me on weekend afternoons.
I have also worked at some of our sister stations including Tay AM, Forth 1, Forth 2 and Clyde 1.
Q. Career highlight to date:
A. Getting the phone call in 2003 to say Tay FM wanted to hire me.
Q. Your favourite Scottish event of the year:
A. Everybody will put T in the Park, so I’ll say the Edinburgh Festival. You can’t beat a day going to see loads of comedy shows.
Q. If you could change one thing about Dundee what would it be?
A. The weather
Q. What gives Dundee its edge?
A. The river Tay and the nearby coastline with the North Sea, it provides so many scenic places to explore.
Q. What is your favourite band/music act of all time and why?
A. All the acts we play on Tay FM.
1Q. Which fashion accessory could you not live without?
A. A watch - I feel lost without one.
Q. What is Dundee’s best kept secret?
A. Dundee Rep restaurant, great food. A shamed to admit I’ve been for a meal there loads but have never seen a show at the Rep, I’ll need to rectify that.
Q. Favourite childhood memory?
A. Spending the school summer holidays at my Grandparents; how come everyday I remember was glorious sunshine!
Q. Clubbing in Dundee – where’s hot?
A. Not really into clubbing, but you can’t beat a pub crawl along Perth Road.
Q. Who is your favourite celebrity and why?
A.
Q.Who is the most interesting person you have interviewed and why?
A. I’m not a fan of Westlife, but I interviewed then a couple of times when I did breakfast, and they are a great laugh. Probably one of the reasons they have lasted so long, they all get on so well.
Q. If we gave you £1k what would you spend it on?
A. I’d spend it on a holiday, not into beach holidays, but love exploring the world, I’ve been all round Europe, Australia, Canada, US etc…places on my to do list, New Zealand, Safari in Africa, Hawaii, Berlin, India…. The list is endless.
Q. Why do you love your job?
A. It’s a great job to do; you get such a buzz from doing it, and from interacting with Tay FM listeners.
Q. If you were not a presenter on Tay FM what would your dream job be?
A. Airline Pilot.
Q. What do you do to relax?
A. Going to the gym, spending time with family, Cinema.
Q. What excites you?
A. Pay day.
Q. What do you love most about your life?
A. Enjoying it with Family and Friends.
